After two days of intense competition Winmau sponsored Emre Toros and Meltem Giray won the Men’s and Women’s Turkish Masters titles to become the Turkish Darts Champions 2008.

The best ranked 32 men and 16 women were invited to the tournament which is the 11th and final major of 2007-2008 season.

The Masters is the last event to decide the Turkish Rankings and Winmau’s Emre Toros finished the overall number one, to add to his Turkish Masters 2008 title.

Wining both the Turkish Masters and the overall Turkish rankings was enough to see Winmau’s Emre Toros selected as the Captain of Turkeys National Dart Team which will compete at Europe cup later this month.

This years ranking tournaments the Turkish Efes Dark Darts Championship were sponsored by Anatolians Group (AG) and with their commitment to darts, they managed to attract around 150 players for each ranking tournament.

AG successfully introduced the Turkish Efes Dark Darts Championship in 2007 - and having the biggest brewery company in Turkey behind the growth of darts has done a huge amount to accelerate the development of the game in Turkey helping the sport of darts to be noticed at national level with television coverage.
