what a marvellous site! so glad i found it. There is so much information. i do have one question. how does a good standard dart player gain access to superleague, is it a question of waiting to be found? i only ask as a couple of players i know work long hours but turn up each week and average between 25-28 every game. advice on this would be apreciated. Thanks.

Great site. However, the reason for the message is to try and influence the removal of that old guy who, to this day, introduces the darts matches in the very amateur looking BDO events. The familiar 'lets play darts' call is doing nothing at all to raise the image of the game and is contributing to retain the sport as an amateur beer swilling pub game. It seems a shame that this guy is seen as a tradition in the BDO game and devalues the great work that the PDC are doing to modernise the game. The BDO is so amateur and unprofessional compared to the PDC and this guy really should be removed from the BDO. I know many people who enjoy darts but do not get to see the real world championship i.e PDC and see only the awful, pub like, old fashioned, boring, outdated, badly presented BDO version. I realise that not all can afford to watch Sky, but this should not mean that the BDO should be stuck in the 70's and seem to make no effort to improve the image of the game. People like Phil Taylor and others are doing so much to convince people that darts is in fact a sport and should have this status, but everytime, in my opinion, that guy calls that gringe worthy 'lets play darts' it undoes a lot of the work the PDC are doing. I am not sure what influence you have, but this isnt just coming from me, I hear this from many people, particulary those that get to witness the massive difference between the two organisations and are passionate about lifting the sport to a level where it deserves should be. Although there seems to be a lot of work to do in the BDO i.e removing that guy and not to mention the burgundy clad older ladies who seem to always sit at the front would be a start. Do you hear what I am saying? Its so outdated and needs a radical shake up. Mark
